The lifecycle of our products takes shape over the course of many meticulous steps and exacting quality controls. An investment of time, expertise and resources that goes well beyond common standards for cosmetic products.

1. Design and research

Our R&D and Product teams are composed of physicians and doctorate-level authorities, engineers, formulators and technicians specialising in cellular and molecular biology, medicine, ingredient chemistry, formulation chemistry and formulation. Pooling their vast expertise, they draft precise specifications for the development of each skincare product in our laboratory.

2. More than 100 reformulations each year

Each formula is developed to ensure exceptional performance with highly concentrated ingredients, requiring more than 100 tests each year. We achieve this through several steps:

100% objectivised concentration

Our ingredients – highly concentrated and with an average of 90% being of natural origin – are rigorously selected and comply with our Formulation Pledge. There are absolutely no parabens, silicones, microplastics, volatile alcohols or chemical dyes.

Four months of stability tests

By conducting stability tests over an average of four months, we can ensure that our formulas are long-lasting and effective.

Global compliance

Our formulas comply with regulations around the world and possess specific qualities to suit a variety of skin types and areas of application.

Sample group pretesting

Before approving a formula, each skincare product is tested on sample groups to demonstrate its effectiveness and ensure an optimal use experience.

3. Formula approval

10 quality and effectiveness tests

Patch test (skin tolerance test), challenge test (preservation system verification), eye irritation (to avoid redness and eye reactions), microbiology, rheology, use test, toxicological verification, effectiveness, etc. (versus three tests in the cosmetic industry).

Pharmaceutical standards

We limit bacteria concentration to 10 CFU/g, in keeping with pharmaceutical standards (versus those for cosmetic products of 1000 CFU/g or 100 CFU/g). Our exclusive ingredient, CytoPep™ Cellular Extracts, is of pharmaceutical grade.

8 clinical effectiveness tests

We perform three types of tests on each product: clinical effectiveness tests with six instrumental measurements, blind dermal tolerance and effectiveness tests, and blind consumer tests. In the cosmetic industry, it is considered sufficient to rely on consumer tests and dermal tolerance assessments alone.

4. ISO-Standard Production

Our production facilities meet ISO 9001 and 22716 standards. They are subject to test-sampling of air, surfaces and water, which we filter and purify three times and consistently monitor, while the cosmetic industry only requires clean facilities and a contamination test.

5. Triple testing of packaging

All packaging undergoes strength and compatibility tests and inspections upon arrival, which are not mandatory in the cosmetic industry. Packaging is designed and selected to provide maximum protection of the formula and ensure a minimal environmental footprint.

6. Finished-product testing

Before being made available for sale, each batch undergoes a series of in-depth quality tests – not required by the cosmetic industry –, ensuring maximum effectiveness throughout the established shelf life of an average of two years.
